Job Description

“1. Assess patient’s general health status
2. Prepare a nursing care plan according to the needs and area of work with the help of other healthcare and professionals

12. Engage in research activities related to nursing and mentor nurse students in the clinical practice

“1. Receive mother in the appropriate place with empathy
2. Assess and evaluate individual health conditions of the mother
3. Care mother in case of emergency and carry out screening tests
4. Collaborate with physician to develop plan of care
5. Teach student midwives
6. Identify and educate the women on the signs which indicate the progress of labour
7. Provide information about pain relief, birth positions and delivery options to facilitate informed choices
8. Assess foetal and maternal well
– being in all stages of labour
9. Identifies the signs and symptoms of complicated labour and post partum complication
10. Ensure the safety of both mother and newborn during and after childbirth
11. Help parents to cope with miscarriage, termination of pregnancy , stillbirth
12. Provide psychosocial support and reassurance to the couple d their relatives
13. Collaborate with physician for the follow
– up of the mother
14. Document all activities carried out in mothers file
15. Participate in environmental hygiene of the hospital
16. Educates the woman about discomforts of the pueperium and advises on strategies to relieve them
17. Handover, evaluate the condition of the patients in collaboration with anesthesia team
18. Transport any specimens that require diagnostic testing to the laboratory facilities

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of tuberculosis in the CDT and CT ;
    • Supervise the activities of the Community DOTs ;
    • Check the level of detection of TB cases expected in the catchment area;
    • Monitor the requisition and availability of anti
    – TB and consumables in the CDT and CT;
    • Collect data related to TB and make reports to the hospital ` and the upper level;
    • Participate in organization of the quarterly evaluation meeting of program ( PNILT , PNILP , PEV);
    • Participate in monthly coordination meetings for Hospital and health facilities;
    • Monitor the requisition and management of vaccines and consumables at the catchment area.
    • Supervise and manage the cold chain in the area;
    • Ensure the supply of products PEV and monitoring of PEV ;
    • Prepare and oversee campaigns ( PEV, PNILP,PNILT ) ;
    • Ensure epidemiological surveillance and what is related to HIV;
    • Collect and send weekly reports to the next level/upper level;
    • Follow the taking and ` routing the sample suspected cases of PFA , measles and other diseases epidemiological character;
    • Ensure the return of the results of the sample sent to the national laboratory;
    • Communicate results of suspected case at hospital and concerned health facilities ;
    • Enter the SIS data of health centers and hospital and Participate in the analysis of SIS data ;
    • Oversee the quality of care for malaria, tuberculosis;
    • Participate in the preparation of PBF and accreditation activities;
    • Perform anything else as requested by his supervisor in the work by hierarchy
